Send A Smile 4 Kids Challenge

Hope your weekend was wonderful! It's a shame that it's almost over. Tom and I took Friday off and spent the weekend at Baby Creek. We got out there about 8 p.m. on Thursday evening and found that the wind storm on Wednesday had toppled a tree over the driveway, which is a very steep hill. The tree was about 20 inches around. So in the dark it took about an hour and a half to chain saw enough of the tree to get us up the hill. Friday morning we cleaned up more tree damage and then started to hall bricks from the top of the hill to the new driveway we are putting in. We hauled 5 loads on Friday and 3 on Saturday. Had friends for dinner on Saturday evening and played bridge and got the bonus of an extra night out there. I came home early this morning and Tom hiked 14 miles to get ready for his trip on the Appalachian Trail in two weeks. So it was a pleasant weekend even though we had a few surprises along the way. We should take Friday off more often and spend some time enjoying our little out-of-the-way place.

Today Doodle Pantry is sponsoring the challenge at Send A Smile 4 Kids. The challenge is to make a clean and simple (CAS) card. I made a card using Ski Sheep. I was instantly drawn to this set. My son, Dan, who lives in Utah, has been skiing a lot lately; I thought this would be the perfect image to send him a hello card. So it will head to Utah in the mail tomorrow.
Check out the challenge and join in. You just might win some awesome digital stamps from Doodle Pantry.

Hop you have a spectacular week! Maybe I will find out this week where I am being re-assigned at work. Keep your fingers crossed!
